Setting Up an Account

Note

Installing Deducto from the Shopify App Store? Follow Shopify Integration instead – that guide covers the embedded-app flow used by Shopify merchants, where account creation, plan selection, and billing are all handled inside Shopify Admin. The rest of this page describes the direct-billing setup used when creating a Deducto account outside Shopify.

A Deducto account represents an organisation in the Deducto platform. Your account serves as the central hub for managing projects, users, billing information, and organisation-wide settings.

Your account can contain one or more projects. Each project operates independently, with its own promotion configurations and usage tracking. Billing varies by project type – see Billing Overview for details.

You can invite team members and assign them varying levels of permissions to help manage promotions across your projects. This allows you to precisely control which projects team members can access and what actions they're authorised to perform. For more details about managing users and permissions, see the User Management guide.

Creating your user account

Before setting up a Deducto account, you'll need to create a personal user account with our authentication provider. This establishes your identity and enables us to track your account setup progress. When you create your Deducto account, this user account will automatically become the administrator, granting you complete control over all projects and configuration options.

To create your account, visit https://deducto.io and sign up from there. You can register with an email address and password, or use one of our supported social login providers.

Setting up your organisation account

After successfully creating your user account, you'll begin the onboarding process to establish your organisation's Deducto account.

The setup process consists of four key steps:

  1. Region selection
  2. Plan selection
  3. Organisation details
  4. Payment details

Region selection

To begin, you'll need to enter your Organisation Name and choose your operating region. This region choice is important as it determines the location of your account's infrastructure. We recommend selecting the region geographically closest to your business operations for optimal performance.

Before proceeding, please review and accept our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

🚧

Changing Regions

While region changes cannot be made directly through the platform, we recognise that business needs evolve over time. If you require a region change, our support team can help explore available options. Please note that region migrations require scheduled downtime for data transfer.

Each region operates independently – Deducto organisation accounts and their projects in one region cannot be accessed from another region's console or API. A user identity (your personal sign-in) is separate from a Deducto organisation account, and a single user identity can be granted access to multiple Deducto organisation accounts across different regions if needed.

Plan selection

Deducto offers three subscription tiers – Free, Lite, and Pro – each with a different monthly subscription fee, included monthly API request allowance, and limits on active promotions, projects, and users.

  • Free: entry tier for getting started with Deducto.
  • Lite: for growing stores with higher API and team requirements.
  • Pro: for higher-volume stores running more complex promotion programs.

Each paid plan includes a monthly subscription fee plus an allowance of API requests used to evaluate promotions against shopper carts. Requests above the included allowance are charged at the rate specified in the plan.

You can view detailed pricing, feature comparisons, and specific quota numbers on our pricing page.

📘

Note

Shopify-billed projects also use the Free / Lite / Pro tier names but are billed per project through Shopify, with their own per-project quotas. See Shopify Integration for the Shopify-specific quotas.

Once you've selected the plan that best matches your requirements, you can proceed to setting up billing information.

Organisation details

Enter your organisation's billing details, including the company's legal name, email address, and optional phone number and address that should appear on your invoices. This information will be used for monthly billing invoices and important account notifications.

Payment details

After entering your organisation's billing information, you'll be redirected to our payment provider Stripe to securely save your payment details. We require this information for paid plans before finalising your account creation.

After saving your payment details, you'll be redirected back to the Deducto platform, where we'll finalise your account creation in the background. This process can take up to a few minutes to complete.

Once finished, you'll see a welcome screen confirming your account has been successfully created. From there, you can move on to creating your first project – see Creating a Project.
